Where is the pottery village?
- Entrance ticket: Half of a dollar/person/turn, including watch the craftsmen making pottery; discover Nam Dieu Temple – the place for worshiping the founder of the potters and Xuan My Communal House; try making pottery. And you will get a ceramic product before getting out.
- Each ticket is valid for 24 hours.
- A group of 8 and more visitors will be escorted by a tour guide (free), contact the on-site guides at the ticket office.
The village is 3km away from the ancient town of Hoi An and 25km from downtown Da Nang. For a smooth journey to those tourist attractions, it’s suggested to book a room at the budget Hanami beach Hotel.
There are many ways to get to the spot. In which you can rent a motorbike, travel by car or bus. This village is a long-standing and famous destination in Hoi An, so it’s easy to find.
What does the village offer?
When you first come here, you will see a lot of display galleries, ceramic statues that are uniquely and exquisitely shaped. Especially in front of each local houses are baskets and goods stalls displaying lovely and original ceramic souvenirs. You can drop by some places to pick up gifts for your friends and family.
Located in the village is Thanh Ha Terracotta Park, this is also the largest terracotta park in Vietnam. Come here, and you will have time to admire the one-and-only artifacts, learn more about the history of pottery village formation and development, and try your hand at making your own pottery.
